SEACF Climbing Circuit, Putrajaya. CONGRATULATIONS!
Contratulations to Mr Jay Koh for emerging as champion in the Men's Open Lead at the SEACF Climbing Circuit at Putrajaya. Ms Suzanna Tan and Mr Adriel Choo also finished 2nd Runner Up in the Women’s Open Lead and Men’s Open Speed respectively.

The SEACF Climbing Circuit was held at Putrajaya Challenge Park from 28-29 May. Our climbers also put up a credible performance by qualifying for the finals in all categories competed.

National Open Trials 2011 (Results)
SMF conducted an open trial between 12-13 March 2011 to indentify potential climbers to compete in upcoming international events. A total of 62 aspiring climbers registered for the trials with 36 participating for the lead category and 26 for the speed category.

SMF obtains Charity Status
We are pleased to announce that SMF has obtained Charity Status effective 31 December 2010.

All donations to SMF is now tax deductable.

SNCS and SNAS Instructor Renewal (2010-2013)
SNCS and SNAS intructors who have failed to renew their licences for the period April 2010 to March 2013, please contact our administrator for renewal.

Sport Climbing in SEA Games 2011
Sport climbing will be included as medal sport for SEA Games 2011 in Indonesia. This decision was taken during the SEA Games Federation Council Meeting in Jakarta on 30 May 2010. The decision was supported by six NOCs members of SEA Games Federation including Singapore. This is a historical moment for the entire ASEAN sport climbing community. We look forward to the climbing community to support our athletes as they prepare to go for Gold in 2011.

Revised Syllabus for SNCS & SNAS
Dear Climbing & Abseiling Instructors

We are pleased to inform that the new climbing and abseiling course syllabus have been approved and finalized. The following course syllabus will take immediate effect. As of 1 March 2010, please conduct the following courses based on the attached adjusted syllabus:

  1. Sport Climbing Course Level One (SCCL1)
  2. Sport Climbing Course Level Two (SCCL2)
  3. Activity Supervisor Course (ASC)
  4. Abseiling Proficiency Course Level One (APCL1)
  5. Abseiling Proficiency Course Level Two (APCL2)

Outstanding syllabus

Sport Climbing Course Level 3 - Please do not conduct any Sport Climbing Level 3 course as they have not been finalized.

ITC [Cat 2] - Instructors may continue with the currently syllabus till new updates can be finalised.

APC3 - Continued to be conducted at OBS, we will update the syllabus into the SNAS syllabus.
